If the pvp community of AO wasn’t so cruel and toxic, I’d grind the hell out of renown to get into the fame leaderboard, just to hear npcs saying good words in my presence

It’s still just as easy to run away from ganks, I don’t leave when high lb players try to gank me, I lead them on wild goose chases for like 30 minutes, sometimes I go up to Skyhall and we have a fun little sky ship chase and THEN I leave, ensuring that they A: can’t hunt me and B: wasted their time for literally nothing. Unless they’ve met me within my own domain (small island), in that case I spam Aithoro and spirit rain and other high aoe moves until they die. I think I killed a ganker in like 10s at sailors lodge
I think it’s just implied to be the character with Insanity, as epicenter is like with insanity 4 and something like that.

But man, some of these Title comments are funny, others are mildly concerning implications, and others are quite nice to hear.
I really wish there was a title for former ranks, like ‘Retired Vice Admiral’ or something. Theres just no long term reward for all your effort if you decide you don’t wanna keep grinding, it sucks.
… Once again, I am wishing that Renown titles could be applied at thresholds instead of leaderboard positions…
