Critiques of AO's Upcoming Feature

I didn’t even pull a bluefighter and I’m getting called out for complaining when I only shared my reasoned worries while asking for them to be addressed :broken_heart:

Feature gets released
Complains without trying it, based purely on text…

It happens a lot more than you would think tbh

nuance is, I’ve included myself in that group cause I’ve still got that smidge of self-conciousness

more leaking of Patreon chat :pensive:

I feel like there should be a giantass buildboard on the trello and RFAO:

"YES, the Dev team knows what they’re doing- no, we are not listing everything because that would take up time—

Any changes made are obviously incomplete until the update is announced to be released—

Yes there are items coming in the future that are not fully listed as coming on here—

Just wait until a feature is marked as complete before you attempt to make to many suggestions about it—

Most changes aren’t done all at once because we aren’t machines, some things are probably going to change."

That way, we can ban everybody who fails to consider and it wouldn’t be stupid; that or people can just be normal and realize that game updates are almost 100% adding features then changing them so that they work better in the game, and the only reason the trello exists is because we whine whenever it doesn’t update every other day.

I wish that instead of always jumping to dog on every single new feature ever added people would instead try to actually wait for the update or not immediately start crashing out :sob: it’s sad tbh. like why does everything always have to be so godsdamn negative? This feature is awesome and thought out and everyone is gonna take back every negative thing they’ve said (my source is that I’ve seen it somewhat in action and it looks really cool)

it must be tiring constantly being full of negativity over every minuscule thing in existence

edit: actually nvm vetex already destroyed lil bro :sob: ignore what i said lol (i didn’t finish reading everything)

OR people could share their worries and ask for an elaboration of the system that has already begun to be implemented, just like I did!
Instead of this though, you have accusations all over the place. Whether it be “You should already know what we’re going to add!” or “This new thing is trash!”, both are wrong.

what is the point of this topic if not to speculate?

i get what you’re saying.

But like its a trello update. Its just letting us know he’s working on something, nobody should be expecting full details on any part of it.

That and in the same way ships are already explained, new features relating to ships would also need to be explained.

Then this topic might as well be deleted if we can’t even begin to converse about patch notes.

Honestly I’m with ya blud, you’ve just become the personification of all the dumb criticism, despite not really showing that (cough cough recent suggestions) and so people lash out (including the dev for the god forsaken reason)

we are conversing about it, you just leapt to alot of weird conclusions for no reason.

talking about what we got with what we know whilst undestanding that some parts are missing and not overgoing is a decent difference from taking the information at heart and using it as a source for everything.

I’m not saying your wrong either, its good to ask questions and address feedback that seems like it might be needed; but i do feel that everybody is over-using how reliable the trello is.

No he did not. A rational answer to his first post would have been “I understand the concern, but that’s being taken care of in further development”, not “I’m receiving a lot of hatred so I just throw it all back to ya”

I mean assuming that the entire mechanic was going to be wiki locked and wasn’t going to be anywhere ingame was a wild conclusion to jump to.

especially since it says, in those very same notes, that there will be non-chat ways to do it.

obviously its going to be ingame, we shouldn’t have needed vetex to come in here to state the obvious.

if I had to guess it’ll probably have a radial menu similar to emotes that has our character say the commands similar to how you say “Take cover!” “Brace!” etc when you press G.

Because this was in the RFAO post that I was basing my information off.
It’s almost as if Vetex replied to a message that had already been answered.

I really think this should have been obvious from the start, though???

And it also is obvious to make sure that such worries are unnecessary by asking about them?

That’s not the point. No matter how off his points were, if his true intent was not to criticise, but rather raise a concern, there’s zero reason to shame him on it. Sure his phrasing didn’t feel like that was the case, but he corrected himself afterwards. Truth is, he got the wombo combo of being an overall disliked forum user (from what I’ve seen though I’ve only be met with one truly bad take of his) and Vetex replying, and in such circumstances, no critical thinking is ever employed again in the conversation
