Crystal looking hot, you can have some funky builds with it.
Light could acutally be useful for once as well since it doesnt shatter the crystal upon hit, yet still does a decent damage boost

Yeah but there’s a lot of magics that only have one real synergy option - 25% repeatable (especially on a status that’s presumably got a long duration) is pretty good, and since synergies don’t stack properly, one’s all you need.
plus there’s all those psuedo-synergies people keep telling me light has
i’m sure light/metal will be great and it won’t be held back at all by the fact it clears no status effects
Most DoTs deal +50% so I don’t think that’s unreasonable. I honestly expected 2x but looking at the broken interactions it makes sense it’s +50%
Yeah I honestly think that’s something people always undermine. Having 1 interaction, while being stronger than 0, makes it feel like one is forced to go with specifically that magic. I would definitely like to see more synergies for Light.
However NoBanana does make a valid point that Light/Metal will still probably be viable.
Light/Metal was a nice pseudo-synergy when light has 0 synergies, now light/Metal is just a weaker version of light/crystal.
Overall a Metal+Light blast might do 2.1 while
Crystal +Light does 2.0375 immediately on impact of the 2 and doesn’t remove the effect so it continually stacks.

Oh yeah once you consider that Metal has the same base damage as Earth now I can see that point.
I still don’t think it’s a completely useless synergy as it still offers bleed and the +5% damage along with that bleed, meaning that you’re still applying more pressure on anyone who gets close you than with Crystal, however Crystal still can apply a similar amount of pressure AND buff Light.
So yeah it’s most likely going to overshadow Metal + Light in 90% of situations so I think I would have to agree there for the most part.
Also does this sould like a good combo for someone doing pvp?(not the damage but the uses of it)
Metal for clashes
Shadow for quick hits
Poison or ash for area control
Problem is, bleed stack is removed so your damage is actually gonna stay at 1.05 vs the 1.25 it would’ve been had bleed stack stayed so it would actually be worse since light does 1.0625 on a crystallized target.
You’ll only be able to re-apply bleed once it’s out and you don’t get the boost while light is just machine gunning crystallized users since it doesn’t even say any clear conditions the opponent can do.

Ignore your Crystal magic and spam light blasts
Or just spam lighting actually
