This always gets me wondering but does racism canonically exist in the AO universe, we already know that a large chunk of people without magic hate/ fear people with magic so who knows 
Apparently in the open tests, there was a lot more npc dialogue that showed clear disdain for other cultures. I guess it was toned down by the time of release though
