Is that healthbar real? Something looks off about it
Apparently it was caused by a ghost not loading in properly and being attackable, because for some reason Vetex has peak game design that doesn’t have a difference between fighting NPCs and non-fighting NPCs except for a “doesn’t fight” flag being ticked on.
That doesn’t answer the question
It’s probably just weirds lookings things because normally if you do see a new NPC boss bar, you don’t have enough time to take it in, because you are fighting.
Nvm it’s cuz the border’s solid black because it doesn’t have a name color for it to match
NGL fighting malevolent ghosts sounds like something that would be added to the Dark Sea. Maybe with the ??? title, too.

Can confirm, there are numerous times in the dark sea when I could attack a ghost that hasn’t loaded in yet the combat tag appeared, but the model was white and without accessories, like that thing in when Atlanteans/sirens spawn in and you get a free damage trial until they actually spawn spawn
Never managed to kill them though
And it was before the ‘high level NPC’s has hp bar’ update
I reckon they still occurred even before the NPC health bar update, just wasn’t noticed
