Morovane ainβt going anywhere. You can find him by zooming in at islands on the map and checking if there is a quest marker at the location where fleet captains can spawn. Granted, it could also mean the Seafaring quest, but its still a great option to locate him.

Done it before with other tree items I needed; no they do not. They just float there menacingly.
Sometimes they CAN be picked directly from the tree, though itβs pretty rare for that to happen. Why is it like that? No clue.
possible its because the item is βreleasedβ from the tree but the physics didnt render in so it just floats
