so i decided to remake ag base cuz i kinda looked shitty so bear with me

dude this is actually amazing, I fully support this idea, AA seriously needs a proper remaster and this is absolutely beautiful

no offense (i think this is a cool project, coming from an AA purist)

but i think you butchered the AG… why do they look like a genericized ripoff of the gravy… they have no soul nor unique characteristics now

Personally, I feel like a steampunk aesthetic would suit the AG really well

They have access to a lot of technology but they are still in a fantasy setting

..no? Steampunk isn’t really it. Imo from what has been seen in all their interpretations (original AA, AA webcomic) they seem like a modernized late 1800s military state, almost british/central germanic in demeanor.

They don’t really ever exhibit any signs of “steampunk”, they’re more just like a very modernized superpower

( by germanic i mean their aesthetic kind of reminds me of either the british navy or the imperial german kreigsmarine)

What I meant was that I feel like the bases should go more towards an industrial, mechanical vibe, leaning into the idea that they are more technologically advanced.

The AG bases in AA had buttons, levers, metal-plated floors, and electrical ceiling lights. This design philosophy was not really focused on a fantasy world, but rather the trends and styles of prisons in other Roblox games at the time.

Remember, the game was not originally developed with the Greek mythology inspirations in mind. It wasn’t too focused on being a fantasy world. (one of the dialogue response options in cumulus island is literally “LOL”)

Obviously this is what helps differentiate the Seven Seas from the War Seas, and I agree that the current trajectory of the AG bases is a bit too similar to the gravy. But I think there are still a lot of ways to integrate the high-tech nature of the AG into AO’s building style and a more fantasy oriented environment without it feeling like a carbon copy

i will remake the ag base but the colors and design will be changed and only some parts of the base will have a more modern technology

You should also keep in mind that outcast tower, the AG base in the first sea is supposed to be small. It’s an outpost, the AG has very minimal sway in the First and Second seas, none in the third and seventh, and alot in the 4th and 6th with a shit-ton in the 5th.

The AG was specifically mentioned to be keeping technologies away from the First and Second seas, and they primarily focused on their base at the 5th sea, and their massive sway in the mainland/4th sea

was checking how i will make the gui and this is how it looks
i will go with this look but will probably change some stuff
i was aiming to go with a more rpg style

I am by no means a game designer, so don’t take it as something you must do, but I think that having Health bar be located near the center of the screen (Perhaps at bottom) would make it easier to keep track of in intense combat situations.

I agree, having the chat be sandwiched in between the inventory/hp icon and the other menu icons feels really unnatural
