Idea of a solution: Have a client-sided projection of you that shows where you will go if you dedicate to a teleport/dodge.

We were never going to get flight back anyway, it wouldā€™ve made boats useless

Or at least less useful, your only reliable source of sealed chests would be treasure charts and diving spots that were on/very close to islands with shipwrights. Not to mention how hard getting most of the loot from the dark sea would be.

If youā€™re only traveling from island to island flight would beat boats 100% of the time since itā€™s so much safer compared to boats

I agree, what Iā€™m saying is that vetex has managed to implement a system that makes boats and flight spells able to coexist. However, now they would be unbalanced in the sense that only people with magic would be able to use them.

I still would rather not have flight come back at all, and I think dodge reflexes are way better since theyā€™re more pvp oriented than exploration oriented

Flight would definitely be fun, but it fits WoM more than AO for now

flight is kinda boring in wom2 not gonna lie

its just faster travel + maybe looks cool with certain magics

(plus it would have to be restricted to magic builds and thats lame)

I donā€™t think it fits AO period. Why would I waste galleons on a boat to get around when I can get a spell that is so much safer to get around with and so much easier to fight in?

Why would I go for other stat builds when I can use this one that has a spell that makes getting from place to place easier?

My original thought was ā€œthat seems pretty pointlessā€ but actually, just some form of consistent movement in the air would be fun, but extremely annoying in pvp since everyone would be airstalling
