I think the parallel worlds theory is what it’s called, or something like that. It’s kind of a “solution” to stuff like the grandfather paradox (if you go back in time and kill your grandfather it creates a paradox cause you were never born and couldn’t kill your grandfather therefore your grandfather never died therefore you travelled back in time to kill him therefore you were never born therefore your grandfather never died therefore )

Basically if you go back in time and change the past, it doesn’t affect your current timeline. It just creates another timeline that’s separate from the one you live in, kinda like an alternate reality
