honestly i wonder, are they considered harmless due to being weak recluses, or do they have real military power but are so isolationist that they don’t bother skirmishing with any “sea dwellers”
they are probably harmless in the same way that switzerland is harmless, completely neutral to any wars and conflicts that happen in the war seas, but push comes to shove will be able to defend themselves if invaded
If Nilah deemed them worth sending the MC to try to convince them to join the war on her side they gotta at least be decent. Don’t know if thay would mean they have a curse though, just more competent soldiers in general would probably still be a good bit of help.
