Dragon Update Patch Notes (Discussion Thread) (Part 2)

Which is about 95% still intact and in fact new ways to design your own build just opened up.

In terms of actual content here is what you lose:

  • Warrior skills
  • The ability to go 180-180 in a few level cap raises to get Uppercut.

If you invest 150-200 you can still get every skill currently available except the ones I mentioned above.

Unvetoing changes to warriors having a bland and boring awakening: :cross_mark:
Unvetoing changes that make the early game utterly insufferable and unenjoyable: :check_mark:

No one wanted the higher cost cause nerf bad though I even said when it happened it was a good change cause st 50/50 my weapon stat was worth as much as a warrior’s at half the value. But with the 60/60/65-65 (I think 75-75 would been Justiable) as to match a warrior it takes more overall stats from me to match then. It’s easy right now cause 20 lvls out major. Wanna try a lvl 400 with the 80 difference in lvls

Why bloody play a hybrid if you didn’t wanna engage in their content it’s like playing a mage but not wanting to use magic

great we got super ultra piss swords now. (from RFAO)

At the moment, Warlord is functionally just a Warrior with a Resistance Focus. This change opens up a lot more build variety for Warlords and Savants, regular weapons become more appealing for them, and Lordvants can reach the minimum Strength req, and build primarily around the weapons themselves, eschewing Strength in favor of Weapons.

This change actively increases build variety while stopping these builds from just taking stuff they shouldn’t have.

75/75 you would lose more skills than this change would lose you. This is what I’m trying to get at, what exactly is our goal here?

Actually you still get the 220pt Warrior skills so there’s that

The nature of warlords. The heavy weapon build. Their literal identity that you want to take away

Also a lvl 100 weapon takes around 200ish points to properly use.

Explain to me in depth how this has been taken away and how 75/75 would improve that?

On Colossal Greatsword you would need 195 in two stats for 3rd tier skills. In other words you only get 2.

And as I said before investing more into Weapons gets you more tiers and thus bigger weapons. I don’t even like that but we didn’t bother taking that away. So that reinforces Warlord identity.

Like what are we even beefing over?

My rusty big sword skills all cost within the 100s. With this they’ll be 200s now. Warlords can’t use their fun weapons that fr gave us till the vimir sea

Are we jujutsu kaisen fans or what? Rusty Zwei is level 100 too so its requirements would be the same.

Just to clarify, hybrid weapons magic or strength skill requirements are equal to the level of the weapon and the weapon skills requirements are increased?

Increased to the warrior’s variant. So double it

So hybrids won’t be able to use as many of the weapon skills earlier on?

They will actually get them earlier depending on how they invest their points.

From the 60/60 split too the 100% split like warriors. Come on now

Oh yeah thats tru-
