As tobi said, the lore is way to malleable and fluid, every great story or book has solid foundation and linear flow, vetexs’ lore is like, a spectrum? Or like a blade being melted down and reforged every minute, the point is this lore is not concrete.

Is it just me or does greek mythology seem like it has almost no place in the story. Like, arcane just, does not seem greek based at all, and then all the cultures and seas, and all of this stuff. Its almost as if the greek thing only goes as far as “I just need whatever random foundation for the story, lets do greek gods”. Like, the concept of the gods maybe fits, but greek?

Atleast games like idk, god of war made it seem really ancient greek but arcane just confuses it. If anything vetex should just remake the entire pantheon and make his own gods that can actually fit the theme and direction of the story. I made my own and it only took like 5-10 minutes 
There are no temples, no statues, not even abonded shrines (excluding athena), no greek cultures, rarely any greek writing or inscription, its just everything else atp.
Because greek culture is entirely based around making homages to your favorite deities, so every location including ones not in greece should be covered in marble sculptures.
And also it should be untranslated so that I have no idea what they’re saying.
Considering we have 2/6 seas, there will definitely be a full intact nation. Shouldn’t be expecting cultural diversity and mixing this early in history.
I gave examples based on hellenistic polytheism and greek mythology. Wheres the last atleast ravennan statue you’ve seen outside of a small one on the top of a fort?

Above that, real world history has no place in it. Old names were better and had far more potential. Having real world history just sounds like Vetex is too lazy to make original lore.
Especially since he imagines the Odyssey to take place at around 200AD, when magic was widespread, when the Odyssey actually took place at around 900BC.
