Dragon Update Patch Notes (Discussion Thread)

When they’re slandering your goat but you can’t say anything because all of the points they are making are true

Aithoro is goated, yall are sleeping on Aithoro.

Also Oracle is kinda mid but if you know how to use it it’s quite good actually. I’ve done a few 1v1s and ganks with it and it holds up really well. Legit you can kill people within like 5s if you get them into a bad spot. It has good survivability too with the regen, and it has amazing size scaling

Yeah, but why the hell is Delamere, The Knight, able to use and spam the move I wanted too??

Yeah but you need to be able to control spirit energy autonomously to use Spirit Mutations, without the use of tools designed to do such— which so far, has only been given to divine creatures.

I actually play oracle myself and it really is super fun

That said, I am still salty about not being able to summon my own spirit goon and do whatever floganymai allows you to do

yeah, they also gave us a taste of ult art aithoro before ripping it away, but yeah I don’t think oracles lack of skill variety is necessarily something that makes it weak in pvp. It just makes it, well, less variable, and makes the class feel unfinished, though I’ve been on vitality for like 2 years atp, and this is the most finished the stat has ever been

I think we need more unique skills, I know we’re short on common skills but I wouldn’t mind some more elemental rites like more zeus stuff

like there are not enough skills in the game to fill out a full oracle loadout really, without repeating anything

Yeeeah, some more rites and gun skills are for sure needed to flesh out the lacking content.

I would rework spirit’s progression entirely

  • Increase the maximum number of rites per spirit weapon from five to eight, and make ultimate art a toggle rather than on V by default
  • Reduce default relic slot count to one, as most oracles we’ve encountered thus far only use one relic
  • Awakenings would be a way to access more relic slots. Oracle’s first awakening would add a second slot, while its second awakening would add a third. Meanwhile, hybrids unlock imbuements for their first awakening and a second relic for their second awakening.
  • Importantly, there needs to be a decent way to obtain relics aside from fighting minibosses, which have total pain-in-the-ass RNG. Picking them up in the world is a viable option, since weapons like Sifenya are obtainable in this way. Khalida’s bracelet is a pretty good candidate.
  • Those bookshelves should also be made more accessible, for the sake of both new weapon users and new spirit users.

Honestly, forcing the player to main a single relic and giving them more rite slots isn’t a terrible idea. Would better distinguish them from other weapon builds. Delamere and The Crone are absolute pains in the ass when it comes to getting their damn spirit weapons honestly. I’ve killed Delamere like over 30 times and he has still yet to drop a single crystal orb. Every single time with luck 3, 4, or even 5 sometimes!

There needs to be guaranteed first-time pity for spirit weapons dropped by minibosses

In exchange, they could make them unable to be traded or sold, since you can’t equip multiple of them anyway

And dragons can be classified as such

Sure I don’t see why not

Death is still locked to legacy which I think will be limited to named dragons

when you compare Pre-FR juggernaut/Knight to Oracle, you start to see any amount of light as the sun.

not even pre-fr, I played knight before we even had imbues :sob:

Back in my day juggernaut was just a worse berserker with slightly more health

people used to call knight the better warrior way back in the day

Any weapon hybrid is a better warrior
