well they kinda do. the main issue is that roblox shot themselves in the foot by making ugc so incredibly accessible right out the gate without the full resources to moderate it, and now that theyâre walking that back, itâs causing a lot of criticism because of the consequences of doing that now. inherently this will reduce the volume of 2d clothing being uploaded and increase moderation quality
That should be the job of the moderation to do, not a bandaid fix that outright makes all visible 2D clothing disappear despite already passing moderation.

this is a vastly oversimplified solution to a very complex problem. as stated above, there is simply too much volume when the barrier for entry to roblox is so low. any given person can get banned for uploading an nsfw shirt, then come back and upload it again with some edits. how is any moderator supposed to deal with that?
and donât say ip bans or hwid bans or whatever. some people can change their ip by turning their router off and on again and hwid can be changed as well (altho its harder ig), its not a reliable method to stop ban evasion
theres a reason platforms like steam and epic make you pay $$$ in order to upload games. if you upload some bullshit you have something to lose. now its the same for roblox
Right, I do see why moderation isnât the all-can-do.
But the solution shouldnât involve removing all 2D clothing from creators who donât have premium, itâs a wee bit silly on that part to remove millions of existing clothes.
