Elysium being named “Elysium” makes no sense

bro nobody cares elysium is a cool name

So yes Elysium is the place for deceased heroes in the greek underworld. But there’s 2 reasons as to why i dont like it.

1.- Elysium is well. For heroes and the fact that in the future we will be able to fight mirages of bosses conflicts with that because most bosses are well evil. Unless they are actually good and we are bad but that depends

2.- this is also mostly a pvp arena which would make more sense for it to be anything else. The fields of asphodel is basically a big flat area which would make more sense for fighting. The fields of punishment is for evil people and pvp is mostly about killing. As well as it can gett quite toxic. And tartarus the great abyss of monsters and titans, it’s basically the step below hell.

Unless the current color scheme is bright and beautiful i feel like a simple change name would be good for a more clear idea of the place. But if the island is already gray and bleak go for fields of asphodel. If its red orange or any warm colors go for tartarus or the fields of punishment

If you dont care about good or evil shit just go asphodel it’s basically the blank state

Also lore implications do not matter since its outside the lore due to mirages and the fact that its more or a mechanic than a lore implication

we’ll probably get something for fighting dead villains later on since villains are supposed to be able to become more powerful then heroes, but for now we have elysium to fight people like theos and achilles

It is only able to be opened by testers or moderators as of right now, and may be changed in the future. Have you read the trello update thoroughly?

Looks more like a Valhalla kind of place instead don’tcha think

Did someone say…. Persona?

Don’t act like this is a bad thing

I saw something about there being floating islands here.

Elysium is basically Greek Valhalla to my understanding.

if you read the patch notes it makes perfect sense, also if a lot of fallen heroes were fighters themselves then its not a stretch to say they’d have an arena there

it being tartarus makes even less sense for whats planned and clashes with the storyline, i made it be elysium because elysium would otherwise never have been visitable

Edit: and as for it not making sense as to why you can go there, its not a story location and regular players cant go there by themselves anyway, so its obvious that you being able to go there at all is non canon and only exists for gameplay reasons

You know now i’m excited for later in the story

The idea of going to the underworld, traveling through there and such to defeat… Something.
it all sounds like so much fun. The story up to now was fun on release, i can’t wait to relive that feeling again.

Ah huh?

I think its more to do with how MC going to Tartarus would’ve clashed with their heroic feats. I mean, MC is going to take down tyrants, evil organisations and eventually “defeat the most powerful and ancient threat the world has ever known” in the end, and you’d put this guy in Tartarus of all places???

I think thats what Vetex meant, and he did say that MC doesnt actually go to Elysium canonically. I guess Elysium’s existence here means that MC would’ve automatically went there if they died in lore (makes sense, theyre also a God’s legacy so…)

Are you hinting we are going against hades later in the future? You know God of the underworld and stuff like that?

This quite hype and also makes sense as we will probably meet the peacekeeper there as lore wise he did fight against hades so maybe we helped or something.

Hype fr

Hadès is getting killed by PK

That doesn’t mean we won’t fight/encounter him

Lets just say legendary warriors fought for so long that they fight for fun like some kind of Valhalla.

it would be weird that we meet hades and not fight him, he’s supposed to be the big evil controlling Durza

The MC doesn’t know that and probably doesn’t know the name of Durza
