But is it even really epic anymore? Did anyone smile at or crack up at the absurdity or this post? Or stare in shock at my audacity for breaking the rules to bring a myriad of ancient, now irrelevant posts to the top of the list? Or even get mad that I brought this dead, useless topic to the surface for no reason? No. Nothing ever happens anymore. At most there was probably some disappointed dude checking the number and seeing some bozo who wanted to hop on the bandwagon to be that one guy that everyone hails for pulling off an ââepic necrobumpââ and so literally just waited the minimum amount of time for that pop-up that says â10 days laterâ before bumping the topic. The trend has run its course, trodden to the ground as it reached mainstream forum culture and the impact of each quote on quote âepicâ ânecrobumpâ completely deteriorated. The only reactions left to produce are halfhearted amusement, mindless replies, and contempt from those who know what the unlearned have taken from us. Scrolling through these threads that occasionally resurfaced many, many months or even years later was once entertaining, suddenly getting a glimpse deep into forum history and seeing scattered replies across various vast time frames until you eventually reached the present. There was once a time where an âepic necrobumpâ wouldâve constituted a post made so long ago that you only vaguely recall it, perhaps receiving a flood of lost memories relating to the post. However the forums have been polluted with too many users aspiring to live the trend for themselves, having no clue whatsoever of the things that once made it so good, and through their constant frequent posts crushed any novelty or potential future that thread necromancy once had. There is no necromancy if there is no death, there is no reviving a thread that isnât dead. necrobumps are gone. There is only empty, ordinary bumps.

have we just been torturing this thread across 3 years constantly dragging it from the realm of life and death for our entertainment and asking even ourselves to reckon if itâs existence is even worth this suffering
