It’s actually pretty good
were other ingame factions going to be featured too, like the redwake one, or the mysterious one at the munera secret and so on?
More quests? I’m in.
Now where’s that sea monster bounty suggestion, these would go well together.
kraken flashbacks
i like it, but perhaps the rewards should be diminished, or put a larger amount possible loot available with rarer rewrds having less chance of ‘dropping’. the galleon reward seems balanced for me. though i belief it is a nice idea, i do have a few questions.
how often/how much chance do higher starred contracts of appearing
would one be able to have max favor with multiple/all factions (perhaps as long as the involved factions aren’t enemies, or to invent a identity disguising item through which one can disguise their identity to said faction, thus being capable of having favor with enemy factions)
would there be a limit to the amount of factions one can have favor with
would one, when their favor is high enough, be able to look at these contacts from their brig’s captain’s quarters
would one be able to buy special items/special versions of items belonging to the faction in question when their favor is high enough (for example a sail pattern)
Thanks for the questions, Ill try my best to answer all of them.
4 Star Contracts would appear roughly every other hour and 5 Star Contracts would appear roughly every 2 or 3 three hours. However, if you’re on retainer you’d get more opportunities to get 4 and 5 star reward from answering retainer calls. Also hypothetically if you’re in a sea with more than one faction and they aren’t enemies you’d have twice the contracts to choose from.
Yes and No. For the faction you have high favor with, the opposing faction would see this as a conflict of interest and not want to hire you for more important jobs. Gaining Favor in one faction would drop Favor in the other. For Grand Navy and Assassin’s Syndicate this doesn’t really matter since they’re locked behind alignment, but this would matter for neutral factions. But you can have max favor with multiple factions as long as they aren’t active enemies. If you’re an actual member of the faction then you DEFINITELY can’t be associated with the opps.
No you’d be able to have relations with as many factions as you’d like. You could even have favor with two opposing factions but you’d never be able to max either without dropping one of them.
I’m not sure but it’s definitely something to consider. I think it’d be a good idea.
I didn’t think of unique rewards from maxing relations with certain factions but I think this would be a great idea and it’s definitely something I should include.
yep what loafery said would make sense, we need more monoahs village gifts
i have not read the document however peer pressure dictates that i should like it
Factions are different from kingdoms, and the GN and AS are the only real two factions in the game.
Also that’s winterveil’s logo in the Munera secret, as the island was originally a vacation escape for the people of winterveil.
based
how does man know so much
erm aktually theres the cerruno ( or whatever its name is ) cult as well
My mistake- Kingdoms ARE Factions, but the GN and the AS are the only two JOINABLE factions.
Redwake, Frostmill Island, and the Monoah Tribe, are not considered as their own unique factions, as they are under the control of larger kingdoms. The Cult of Greenwish can also be considered a faction, but do not hold as much influence over the War Seas as Kingdoms, the Navy, and the Syndicate.
kind of like town enlighnment system
apparently this post is still up so i decided to check a couple lines
sounds like a more detailed and a bit more pvp focused version of [L] Town/Kingdom Alignment, Interactions, and Rewards de Arcane Odyssey | Trello
Not reading allat
GN and AS contracts would be exclusive to their respective alignments (Hero & Villain) but future factions would probably be neutral. Depends on whatever alignment Vetex assigns for them, if any at all.
tldr;
factions like GN and AS give out quests to go fight their enemies and you can get rewards for the contracts but other players working with the enemy faction can also get rewarded for stopping you.
