Flare losin
why did it have to be gravity
L + ratio
It’s not that gravity is popular it’s that we’ve seen too much Phoenix and gravity hasn’t been seen too much
Or it’s that it’s pretty popular, enough to beat phoenix by a tiny bit
Gravity won let’s go
Anyway y’all want to predict the ancient magics out on the first round if that competition comes around?
Equinox winnin
Promethean flame fanboys might log on
Apocalypse Bringer for the win. It has more poems and art dedicated to it than any other ancient magic I can think of.
listen i know inferno wont win, but if it can just beat promethean flame i’ll be happy
if inferno wont win lets make sure promethean flame doesnt either
wait wasnt the person who blew up theos’s ship a gravity user? or was it some other wind mutation
Wow gravity won
i voted gravity because fire magics are boring
Gravity is basic yet interesting
From Trello’s notes, it sounds like it will also disrupt where the victim was aiming at (they try to aim at gravity caster, miss cause gravity magic messed up their aim), so it sounds like a really useful magic for any player.
Phoenix is used by theos so I see why it got farther
I’m expecting that each lost/ancient magic will have some kind of gimmick that makes them likely similar to base magics in stats (though probably higher damage and such) but with each having their own gimmick that makes them special and able to play out a situation better, but still being balanced with the advantages and disadvantages of other lost magics. If gravity can actually manipulate the movement of projectiles, there would need to be other lost magics that can do other serious stuff. Like for example, slash magic (I stan slash magic) actually being able to cut through lower tier materials and terrain. Obviously the extent of how much it could cut through would have to be balanced as well so it wouldn’t be op (that’s the entire point, to have it powerful but balanced yknow.) I think some of the lost magics right now are kinda just vague and don’t really seem to be a game changer. Like frostmetal for example. I like the idea of it, just cold metal imbued with cold elements, but I don’t see exactly what about it that’s special. I get what I mean is, I want each lost magic to have some kind of tertiary effect. Not just a status effect that boosts or hinders other magics, but one that might add something extra to a situation. Like the things I mentioned earlier, and wave magic. Wave magic can like, drain your energy right? I think frostmetal should at least have some kind of other interesting effect. I’m assuming these just haven’t been planned out yet but will be added in the future. Actually I can’t even think of something that a frozen metal magic would be able to do. I’m also not quite sure what the point of lunar magic is. It just sounds like a brighter water? Unless it gets boosted damage at nighttime, that would be pretty cool honestly.
Sorry for random essay I just had to write one for English class and I got inspired to write some of my thoughts on lost magic effects
Tl;dr: fuck you no tl;dr
