The one thread that people actually have good taste
I can’t decide what I’d call my favorite game of all time, but here’s some of my top ones…
-Breath of The Wild (Good game overall, but I hated the fact that you can’t climb when it rains. It also had a lack of enemy diversity, but it seems Tears of the Kingdom will remedy this by adding lots more enemies. Can’t wait to fight the goblin fortress built onto a live golem.)
-Hollow Knight (Beautiful and extremely detailed. Some of the game’s areas are so intricate that I question how the developers even made them in the game’s 3-4 year long development time. Silksong is going to be just as good, if not better, whenever it releases.)
-Kirby and the Forgotten Land (Perfect overall, my only complaints is that there are a bit too few copy abilities. It’d be interesting to see how other abilities work in 3D. Amazing soundtrack that goes ridiculously hard, but the absolute best part of the game is that you kill the final boss by ramming it to death with a truck.)
-Pizza Tower (Haven’t beaten it yet but l love it. It plays like a combination of the retro Sonic games and Wario Land. Overall, it’s simply extremely cathartic to play, and has surprisingly great music. The developer took their time making this game over the span of five long years, adding, removing, and testing different features before finally releasing it when the pizza was ready.)

For me it’s Harvest Moon Back to Nature both boy and girl version.
Perhaps it’s mostly nostalgia, but the Story of Season remake just felt odd… I mean what on earth they do to Jeff design?! Like OMG! Who is he now!? and Rick design become “Yo daughter calls me daddy too” for some reason.
My mom introduced me to a video game with a game she used to play a lot, and it’s Harvest Moon BTN. All the character interaction as well the festivals and farming is just so relaxing but still had that sense of hurry to do things.
isn’t that like Stardew Valley? Correct! I do enjoyed Stardew Valley, but I had to put Harvest Moon BTN higher due to it being my first introduction to video game

Don’t you just love it when two Kingsmould kills you at the end of Path of Pain when the music starts become more epic?

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is my favorite game. i love souls games in general but sekiro just takes the cake with the albeit short but amazing worldbuilding and storyline combined with the absolutely amazing combat system for me. everything in the game just feels so good and well refined its hard to find actual criticism on the game.

No, I suck at the game too much to get anything higher than an A Rank, but it’s still really fun.

has to be Rimworld if we’re talking all time favorites. gf showed me the game, put 200 hours in in 1 month and a half. the amount of things that can happen every run just makes every single playthrough unique and engrossing id be on it for hours upon hours
