This here is a 2009 Lenovo ThinkPad SL500. Built like a tank and weighting at 3kg (~6 freedom units) with a damn fine keyboard.
On the inside is an Intel Core 2 Duo whizzing at a blistering 2Ghz, some Nvidia GPU and it’s been upgraded with an SSD and 4 giggies of RAM, half of which get yanked by Windows at boot and the rest is enough for half a Chrome tab, which is why I use neither on it.
At home I have an even wilder rig, operating inside of one of those 90’s white cases which I can’t documents right now, much to everyone’s dismay.
