I love this suggestion. Gives a use to all those useless fruits in my inventory. Juices are a fun idea, and spirits are very unique and will definitely be fun to play with. I’m worried that people will just hoard spirits like they hoard hundreds of coconuts though, because they age with time and seem to have no limit. And people might just pop a 1-month aged spirit to wallop a boss or other player. Since their hunger requirement increases as well it is probably fine, but I think the aging mechanic should be modified. I’d consider changing it so spirits age through ship or sea activities (this is so you can’t just print op buffs or money from offline waiting), and I’d give them a cap on how strong their effect can be and make their buff scale slower than their hunger cost at a certain point.

Ciders are pretty complicated for basically being useless. You could probably make ciders a potion ingredient, but potions have barely been fleshed out so I wouldn’t add them for now.

More than enough to take my vote

Yeah i do also kinda agree with most people, that the cider suggestion might just be flavor without taste. It is certaintly the least important feature that needs to be added from your suggestions.

Still i can’t stress enough how much i love this suggestion, it has to come to fruit.

see i really don’t see ciders as too complicated. Its much simpler than the juices and spirits.

Ciders are basically a fodder way to get xp for a brewing skill.

You don’t need a specific type of water to get them, and the only difference between them is the ingredient listed in the name.

Outside of the Cursed cider which uses cursed mushrooms granting insanity, none of these grant buffs either.

I say they are the “mistakes” of drink brewing, because its the result of using the wrong food for the process. They aren’t literally mistakes which actually grant no EXP.

Its more like the equivalent to cooking coconuts or watermelon.

Im happy to hear all the positive feedback, and like the rest of you, I do hope vetex sees this suggestion and decides to implement it into the roadmap for the brewing update.

I have plenty more suggestions just as indepth as this for the future.

I really like this idea and I think it’s super interesting but I think a couple things you could add include, I feel like some more unique buffs would be interesting, for sailor style the drinks that require salt water could refill sailor styles bar as well

Having a thing only exist for cooking xp sounds really lame, especially when cooking xp makes cooking really boring in the first place. Instead of being a fun way to make new things, it becomes mindless grinding like any other and now there’s a type of item whose only purpose is grinding. But that’s just my opinion, I think ciders are unnecessary effort if they’ll only be for cooking xp.

to be fair thats the current only reason to cook stuff like coconuts or peaches.

Grahhh lemme turn water grapes and sugar into alcohol grahh.

I drink more seawater than the sailor fist(ers) im going insane let my character get drunk rahh

Forreal

wine

I like the idea, but this is a Roblox game. I don’t think adding alcoholic drinks is such a good idea. But adding more juices and stuff sounds pretty cool!

I explained this in another post on this topic

by “spirits” it was literally a fruit flavored Soul/glowing orb in a bottle.

Like a fairy in a bottle from zelda.

The joke is that it kinda sounds like an alcohol thing, but its actually the literal spirit of the fruit.
drawn out by the properties of the magic polluted sea water.

I love the idea of eating a literal ghost.

Yeah by doing alcohol in this way, you can get their properties, but also get around the trouble that alcohol is assosiated with.
Also to not make it to much alike to alcohol i don’t think sailorfist should gain seawater from drinking products with seawater

Why so? It has sea water.

holy shit alcohol real???
