After beating up seventy Shadow Ravens, I was disappointed to find that:
-
There was no miniboss at the top
-
It wasn’t quite high enough that I could actually reach Mistville

How is it such a menace if it isn’t in the pond half the day?
Who said it’s not in the pond half the day? It’s in there the entire time, you can only catch it at night, because during the day, the Alligator Gar catches you.
Just did some quick tests on Orbshot - Specifically Corroding Orbshot - and will present our findings here.
Tl;dr -
Don’t bother using higher tier reagents.
Don’t bother using more than 1 reagent of the DoT you want.
DoT duration is the same.
Cannonball Dmg is the same.
DoT Dmg is the same.
Do try to get a large amount of them cause they will melt ships
Overall, just use the T1 versions and go melt ships.
Stats of Orbshots:
Here we can see that all 3, with different DoT tiers have the same stats.
So same DMG:
Lessor:
Strong:
Powerful:
Same DoT DMG:
Lessor:
Strong:
Powerful:
And of course same duration as per the Orbshot stats.
This means that there is virtually no difference between the higher tiers of Orbshot DoT as of now. So there’s not much point in making ones that require more than 1 (T2 and up) of the DoT Reagent.
Spare your Dolomites since Harvesting doesn’t give them too often, and actively erupting Undersea volcanoes on which you get Dolomite from. Will cause them to be destroyed/despawn after a few seconds of spawning (Probably unintended). The Dolomite will not linger around when the eruption is over, as of now.
Happened to have a scenario in which it did but haven’t seen that happen again.
But all in all, start stockpiling them since they basically will allow you to shred ships. The first volley you fire basically has each cannonball DoT stack the ships. So you’re hitting them for 36 dmg if all 12 cannonballs hit over the course of 25 seconds.
Use them in combination w/ Hvy Explosive since the second or maybe third volley won’t apply DoT anymore. Since there’s a CD on DoT application for ships, sort’ve similar to how there’s one for DoT Waves or how DoT worked way back when.
Took a bit to post since Maine decided to try and gank us while we were typing this out.
So if a full volley hits that’s 36 dps, for 25 seconds… that’s 900 added damage, assuming not a single cannonball missed
Yeah, idk if that’s worth it tbh
Assuming the 900 dmg figure if all 12 shots + the dmg from the cannonballs impact themselves it comes to a total of:
4,596 DMG in total.
Compared to Hvy Explosive it does 423 dmg per hit on our end, so a total of:
5,076 dmg in total.
So a bit less dmg than Hvy Explosive, not something you want to necessarily use exclusively in the case of Corroding Orbshot. But definitely smth that’ll help when used together.
Inflict Ship DoT to continue dmging them while reloading and or turning, and then hit them w/ Hvy Explosive till DoT CD wears off.
Will see if the Melting, Burning, and other Ship dmging DoTs do more DoT dmg and the likes.
Edit:
For reference we’re using Enhanced Iron Culverins btw:
Will also have to see if the DoT from Dot inflicting Arcaniums stack w/ Orbshot or not, cause we forgot that they exist. Our guess is going to be a no but we’ll see.
Edit:
Editing this post here since we don’t wanna bother making a new one. We’ll try to do it later on tonight since we have things to do.
