I checked Romonitorstats for fun and the game is on a downward review spiral…
Full Release will add so much content that even after several passes of the Trello I always find something new. This update will have so much new content for the playerbase that I believe will make the game explode.
This website seems to delete its data constantly (due to monetary reasons I assume), but my predictions are 60~100K peak players, to calm down to 4000~6000 a few weeks later, and stay around there until the Chapter 10 update which could be on February, to possibly double playercount.
If Youtubers promote the game enough then expect these numbers to be even higher.
theres this one youtuber with like 300k subs and 2 mil views on some vids that does anime analysis that is hyped for the update and used lady carina fanart on one of his vids once
I’ve been waiting so long and have been so busy that i pretty much forgot the games been slowly progressing to the full release.
I’ll probably play it for sometime when it releases, but I recognize now that whenever I’m excited waiting to try something out and I get to try it out, I’ll have fun initially but it always transgresses to a state of boredom. So I’m not going to place all my excitement and highest expectations onto it cause that plants the seeds for my disappointment.
So going from 92.53 to 92.449 in a year is a spiral? I hate to see what it reaching 91.99 would be like to you think. That must be downright apocalyptic.
It’s been over a year since the last update, there’s a decent amount of people who probably won’t come back to AO for Full Release. Be it through not having any desire to, or simply not finding out that there was an update. Not everyone in is Vetcord, not everyone who played at Mistral or Empires even has the game in their continues anymore.
It’ll certainly be a lot of players on release week, but we’re probably going to see it stabilize at 6-7k.
