Next patch note:

  • Fixed curse users not dying in water
  • Fixed waterproofed heat-based magic skills not working in water
  • fixed fire magic spells working in water

Its not gonna look 100% this way in AO obv but close.

At this rate this update is already going to be the greatest update of them all.

Azlan has been working on this for ages from what I know. Rough waves and whirlpools look really fluid rather than being an extra mesh or texture layered over the water. I don’t know to what degree Vetex is actually going to change the physics of the current system though.

I really doubt boats are going to rock around given the many many issues that could cause honestly. They might move up and down a little bit though.

Counterpoint: it would be really cool if you were fighting in rough waters and you jump over a huge wave like your Jack sparrow

Boats are single models instead of a ton of parts, it’d be much easier to simulate now (and 100x less laggy).

boats are already full of bugs as they are rn. I don’t trust this one bit.

like dukeshade said, they just got remodeled to be way less buggy and laggy

vetex has to start chapter 9 after this because i know that its gonna take a ungodly amount of time :sob:

Pretty sure it wasnt a thing in AR unless the code was made after it got revamp and never added
