Full Release Update Patch Notes (Discussion Thread) (Part 2)

Health is part of the main HUD, along with stamina, energy, and allat. Dock Brag is a weird choice to be the only one you put in.

listen man he didnt say anything about those im going completely off the patch notes

I am too, I and think it could’ve been more descriptive.

GUI changes do something to me mr tex please let me see that sexy new hot bar

I’m getting heavy Wizard101 vibes, and I am all for it.

I just hope that the two new chests won’t somehow have exclusive loot as that would be boring.

DRACHMA BALLS

Thought this was one of those jokes at first, hm.

Honestly, not bad. Let’s take this as an oppertunity to show Vetex that we don’t hate all change indiscriminately, because Drachma goes hard as a currency name, and Exotic never made sense.

I thought it sounded familiar.

I don’t know why, but I’m getting a very wary feeling about those Mystic and Legendary Chests. Maybe I’m just overblowing it, though; odds are it won’t be like in AA / AL in which you had to pay warm, digital cash to open each one. If I had to guess, I’d assume that these would carry the rarest items in the game, such as Acrimonies and Godly Nectar (plus Sunkens in the ocean).

Also, I feel like Mystic could possibly get confused easily with Legendary. Both have similar purposes, and I find them to be used interchangeably a lot.

imagine the legendary chest (on top of probably having higher chances for the rarer loot in the game) also has like 5 loot pulls… drinking a luck 5 and opening one giving you like 15 loot pulls lmao

ngl the game originally felt rather… British? I’d say the world was giving off brit vibes for some reason. Now it seems like Vetex is pivoting to making ancient Greek stuff more important and generally visible, unsure if it’s a bad or good change as I rather like rain but it seems to be pretty cool other than when I can’t pronounce the names of a new island immediately

Pish posh! They’re no different to gold chests but even more fun to find. Think of the dark sea, there’ll be plenty of them there anyway.

As for confusion, nawh! Two totally different words.

I love Drachma as a currency name honestly

though, one thing i do find odd is how much stuff seems to still be heavily related to or from ancient greece (ex. i remember vetex saying the common language would be greek in AO but it was a while ago…)

we’re not close to the time period (not to the mention the likely deviation after 100 AD + the fracture). and the War Seas doesnt seem to be close culturally at all (the War Seas is incredibly diverse so greek being the common language is odd to me)

maybe im forgetting something but its just a little weird to me

I think personally id keep galleons as the main currency and reserve Drachma as being a special currency for some other purpose later on

Imagine finding an annoyingly-difficult treasure spot on Shell Island, and all of the chests were Rare, only for them to give you 16 Drachma total.

Also apparently Drachma is a currency from Ancient Greece.

I’d imagine Secrets and Treasure chart spots (or other hard to get to locations) would have better ods of giving rarer chests.
