No kidding when I mean old. This is from April 2016. This is so old, all of the starter magics haven’t been implemented yet.
If you’re a Arcane Adventures veteran, the nostalgia in this video is probably going to hit you like a truck full of bricks would.
But here’s something very interesting in the video. Near the end of the short review, the reviewer mentions that Vetex had severe optic neuritis, and that he is currently battling it in the hospital, and the reviewer wishes that Vetex has a safe and swift recovery.
Of course, Vetex won his fight, and the rest is history.
I just thought I’d make a thread about this interesting, rather obscure fun fact.
Also, what is optic neuritis anyway? Sorry if I didn’t spell it right. Is it some sort of eye disease?
EDIT: Vetex himself replied to this thread, and he says optic neuritis isn’t bad. It’s just inflammation of the optic nerve. He woke up one day with a blurry left eye, and eventually went to the hospital a few days later. They fixed it by injecting steroids into it,
which fixed it over the course of a few days.
Judging by the name it may be a disease of the nervous system. The central nervous system to be specific. Maybe some sort of damage to the optic nerve. And yes it is an eye disease basically.
i looked it up and optic neuritis is a disease related with the eyes.
it basiclly makes you colorblind on some colors, gives you slight or normal ammounts of vision loss AND head pain.
so it isnt that bad compared to other diseases.
oh, and it can be cured in a few months.
and it also needs inmediate attention, laboratory analysis and can be treated by a professional medic.
Its just inflammation of the optic nerve, they fully fixed it by just injecting some kind of steroid for a few days. The cause is unknown and apparently if you have it, it can reoccur every 5-10 years. I also find it funny how people were calling it a “battle” when i was literally just laying in the hospital bed for a week with no pain lmao
edit: I just woke up one day and my left eye was super blurry, like if there was something in it, but when I rubbed it and washed it it didnt get better, so I left it for a few days and was getting headaches while trying to focus (cause it puts more strain on the optic nerve) and then we went to the hospital. Super weird feeling
