The only scrolls I need for BOTH of my builds are Powerfuls. And I need about 4 in total.
I’m not doing that, Mr. Vetex. I’m not going through several hours of boredom just to deal marginally more damage. My pure, unadulterated skill is enough to carry me through whatever PVE stuff you throw at me.
I honestly enjoy replaying the story of the game (to the point I have been considering dedicating one slot to just constantly reset so i can just go thru the story over and over again) but thats about it. Other than that, all I do is fish and sink ships for fun 
I keep forgetting people actually enjoy the story
after suffering thru the dialogue the cutscenes and characters (who will then never appear ever) are cool to see again

i usually just try to give myself something to do
like rn, aside from maxing out files, i could try grinding gear for said files (currently 9 files have some sort of a decent build)
as for leveling up a file to max, it’s fun rereading important dialogue and finding new details I didn’t know about in a story (i found a npc talking about a character in cirrus in my most recent playthru)
honestly 1 thing i see people over look a lot in ao is how relaxing diving for treasure can be
