roguelike as in something to do so the endgame isnt boring as fuck
vampire hunters 3 (awfully underrated)
randomly generated droids (a little known but still underrated and very good)
boost vector (idk if it still gets updated but i used to play it back then and it was fun, also, itās dead)
super doomspire (gud game)
wizard west (not underrated but itās fun ig)
data brawl (idk i like it)
I just tried this game. For a Roblox dungeon game, itās pretty good.
My main concern is that I worry if the game knows what it wants to be. Itās a PVE dungeon-crawler that, true to its description, has a permadeath mechanic. Not that Iāve seen it as Iāve yet to die. The very start of the game can be a bit iffyāit kinda just drops you in to make a dungeon group, and the first dungeon, while easy, can have some close calls at the boss.
My worries rises with the odd choice of this being permadeath, with MMO combat, yet with defensive abilities that are of varying utility. Iād say the dodge is a lot more useful than the parry, at least in my limited experiece. You donāt really have any defining traits for a build to select, you more or less just pile on little, small bonuses through the dungeons. Personally, Iād prefer more definitive, slightly less flexible builds if it meant individual players having stronger traits.
Iād suggest giving it a shot. Itās not a Rogue Lineage knockoff, @Yrni0 . Itās pure PVE. Also, the gameās enviroment is actually on the better-looking end.
alright fellas taxi simulator 2
taxi simulator 2
(you can buy currency but thatās not going to help you unlock any of the challenge parts)
(theres no pvp)
perfect deliveries
(its taken off the roblox sound library but still peaks somehow)
Not a Roblox game but you should try helldivers 2
The parry is your fastest way to recover mana in combat, while the dodge is much easier, the parry gets you more payoff.
These more defining traits are rarer upgrades, mythical and legendary ones.
Thereās also rare relics you can find in chests and breakables that can change major parts of how you play. (for example, I found one that gave me healing when I heal allies and hyperarmor while casting healing abilities)
Thereās also the metaprogression which, from what I can tell, since I havenāt interacted with it yet, are pretty substantial upgrades.
Sometimes you can find an Obelisk of Desire in a pink portal in your runs, itāll let you really focus in on what you want your build to be for a while, but Iām not sure it works right now.
(In testing it gave me NOTHING but the upgrade type I was looking for through several dungeons before wearing off, now I used 3 of them for shadow upgrades and got 0 shadow upgrades)
oh right the game closes on Thursday but you can get tester access through wave events in their discord server.
Iāve played it for an hour now, I canāt really recommend it nor call it a āhidden gemā.
Unorganised, barebone, and messy criticism time:
- The combat is just rogue lineageās/deepwokenās but made worse as the telegraphing that you need to rely on is fucked up big time, seriously worse than elden ringās fucked up telegraphy.
- Further amplified by the pretty bad animations
- Being forced to party with other players is a huge downside to me, a dungeon crawler should allow me to play solo by scaling difficulty according to the player count.
- Yeah, this is relative, but think about when this game is going to have only 1 player online.
- Bosses are pure parry checks, dodging being unreliable against them.
- Bosses without ranged attacks can also be de-aggroed somehow, allowing you to heal back to full health.
- It isnāt a roguelike but a dungeon crawler with permadeath, two similar but very different genres.
- Refer to Risk of Rain, Enter the Gungeon, Dead Cells, The Binding of Isaac, and other titles if you want an example of what a roguelike is.
- Itās a dungeon crawler with permadeath, meaning that the amount of time it takes to play the game until completion is multiplied by how many times your save file is arbitrarily reset.
- This is fucked up big time as dungeon crawlers are notoriously grindy/time consuming by nature.
- Getting stronger relies 100% on RNG.
- Objects or structures that mitigate RNG might exist, but their existence relies on RNG, rendering their purpose null.
- This fucks up the gameās time consumption even more than it already is by permadeath
I havenāt played anymore than this and havenāt tried things other than dungeon diving and using fists, so there might be more stuff. This is the first time impression that I got though.
yea no wonder youāre having a tough time you never picked up a weapon.
I literally havenāt played the game with a party yet lol, solo progression is fine.
RNG hates my guts across all games.
You can select a weapon in character customization aswell as a starting ability.
I know, but if some options arenāt equal, why display them? They should balance their starter stuff a bit since I thought that untrained fists were as strong as the copper gear, which isnāt the case apparently.
Also, distraction is so useless that I picked up another basic skill on the way that made the game 300% easier.
Iāll give it another hour on another character file now.
Challenge modes.
What do you think being able to select multiple sins is for, let alone abomination lol.
Thatās made pretty obvious since you can compare them to one another while they also have visible downsides. Weapons only display their damage values and nothing else, making comparing them practically impossible as you canāt calculate DPS and viable range.
Also, I only noticed this while making a second character file, but why are some customisation options randomly placed?
They werenāt in this order on my first character file. I know what it might be caused by since I have some very, very minor experience with UI building, but itās a bit weird.
Note: We should probably move this to another topic or private messages
ETG MENTIONED GRAHHHHHHHHH
You sure that you didnāt mean wednesday? Even in UTC+14, it isnāt thursday, yet despite that theyāve already closed it.
I guess I misread it.
Elemental Warzone, probably Star Glitcher, its not so popular and is funny
