I’m glad it outclassed it. Was a bit worried when the draft got leaked, but I used that as motivation to go even more all in.

Maybe this is the sea curses cutscene mentioned in a trello patch a long time ago? I’m pretty sure neviro explains to you what the sea curses are when you reach the myriad during the story.

It looks exactly like the Energy Curse in the webcomic. It’s also one of the last curses in the row, meaning it could’ve been one of the most recently-acquired? It would’ve only flown into the War Seas about a month ago, but I’m sure that’s enough time for the zealous curse-hoarding kingdoms to find it. They have entire teams of people trained to sense cursed energy.
This is interesting, since it said that Durza had obtained the Lightning curse, and now it shows up in the vault here
He also had all of Arthur’s curses, meaning Blaze, Tide, Ice, and Energy. After Durza died, it seems a lot of his curses launched to the War Seas and were taken near-instantly by Ravenna. That’s probably why they’re the first big threat, suddenly amassing a ton of new curses gives them drastically more influence and power than they’ve ever had before.
