Hot vs Cold magic

What does this mean

Eye corroder

what I said (maybe)

Strokesounds makes their return

technically i suppose, but i’m certain that if i were to ask vetex whether acid magic was an acid or some-corrosive-substance-that-isn’t-an-acid, he would say acid

He would but I like playing devils advocate

anyway why doesn’t ice have a high clash-rate against fire (assuming it doesn’t) I thought it took a lot of energy to melt ice, especially of the mass the average ice mage uses?

vetex just didn’t think of that i guess

sobs

or maybe because is MAGIC and not inherently REAL… fack YOU MAGIC ENERGY!!!

Okay so here’s what we have right now.

  • It’s definitely a heat magic if it’s literal fire, unless it’s Light or Lightning
  • Light or Lightning still partially count though because hot fire-adjacent reactions are the source of their damage, and so does Acid.
  • It’s also a heat magic if it does very well alongside heat magics, which adds Sand and Poison.

  • It’s definitely a cold magic if it’s literal ice.
  • It’s also a cold magic if it can make things feel colder, as well as synergizing well with cold magics.

Or just go with ā€œif it’s counted as a heat magic by the game it’s a heat magic and if it’s counted as a cold magic by the game it’s a cold magicā€

There’s a built in definition through the overheating and freezing status effects

explodes yu

Yeah, that’s what I was going with initally, but then I didn’t know if water makes it colder- I have a water file AND a wind file, I should check.

Ok then check instead of making up unrelated definitions

Okay water is DEFINITELY a cold magic.

lightning definitely counts, lightning can get hotter than the surface of the sun

I dunno do we have confirmation suns a heat magic

true…

I thought it was cold magic because it become cold at the tail end of lifespan

And its not fucking working rn am in blanket and still all my extremities r cold

And wind is not
