still not sure what canon details to set in stone because i want PC’s lore to be vague/flexible/ambiguous to make it suit many players, but here’s what i could lock in:
- player is ambidextrous
- player is an adult
- player lives alone in a small house
- player is middle class income
- player had an obsession with/was a huge nerd magical weapons and spirits from other dimensions (shown via doodles in their bedroom)
- player’s mom has been missing for at least 10 years
If any of us knew what was attractive to women we would be leading fulfilling lives instead of being here

In contrary to pokemon games always having the father absent (save a select few). Huh, maybe the choice to get into battles and journeys happens because the MC’s were never raised right…
most fantasy protagonists have at least 1 missing parent
