Reconsider going for Master Angler; some of the most fun I’ve had in this game was sitting in VC with my friends fishing and just talking about life.
edit: Seriously, everybody hates on fishing, but when you get into it and as you slowly get closer and closer to master angler, you have more and more enjoyment right up until you’re stuck on your last fish for 6 weeks.

Can always just make weird, nonsensical builds ir cosplay as characters. PVP duels (even without the dueling system) are pretty fun. Had some great fights as my Percival Fredrickson gun warrior build. Surprisingly good build despite not having good armor because I was sweeping those fights.
Even someone that plays the game as much as you doesn’t want to touch fishing, truly shocking I know. To think people were advocating against my fishing overhaul suggestion.

Fishing in the game currently is more or less just an obscenely boring and mostly unrewarding idle game as it stands but you do you. Hey some people like point and click mystery games so to each their own.
so then the actual fishing isn’t the fun part, it’s talking with your friends you clown
even blox fruits had better fishing system which is sad 
Don’t play for 6 months then return to see what’s new until you get bored
rinse and repeat
When you die all the content you did is way easier. and you get rewarded for death after completing content you get echo’s. Its definitely not a light hearted game though but it feels very adventurous with some stakes kinda. dying doesn’t feel like a big deal once ur decent at the game cuz u can avoid deleting ur character altogether pretty easily.
Which is why they are adding a hardcore mode to deepwoken for more experienced players lol which sounds funny since the game is notorious for being difficult to begin with kinda lit thoe
Mfw someone has played multiple (assuming) thousands of hours of a game and is complaining that they can’t find anything else to do in the game.
This is like complaining that a given game doesn’t have infinite replayability(which admittedly very few games do but that’s besides the point)

I mean those are all games that are either free to play and directly comparable to AO or are Deepwoken.
There’s nothing else to do; why are you asking for new methods when you’ve already did everything. Genuinely the best advice is just don’t play the game until the update so you can have fun again, why would you want to play something you find boring besides it being an addiction. Continuing to play will just further your burnout to the point that not even an update will be enjoyable to you
cause it’s a good game that deserves my attention I think. Isn’t that why we’re all here?
