I would like a m1 m1 m1 m1 deepwoken typa game
Vetex already tried a turn-based game. Unfortunately it was pretty janky, inconsistent, and just didn’t feel all that great. Especially compared to more recent games like Block Tales.

I’d really appreciate it if AO combat would modernize (it’s currently literal 2014 combat )

He is trying to say that ao combat is too similiar to aa’s, which is not that great for today’s standard.
you can simply look at other games like the strongest battlegrounds, it’s combat even if combo based still feels more fair compared to ao’s, where one wrong move can leave you with a red -420 on your screen

The best i could think of is lowering the ridicolous damage numbers and maybe making it less movement based
remove combat, make ao a fishing game instead
I just wish clashing actually worked most of the time. Like why are both of us getting damaged when our attacks clearly clashed?
Parry system to do dmg instead
Having to have strategy behind your attacks (so spamming is much less effective but clashes are also useful) and anything could be viable (Even armor less could have a buff to be useful in some way)
i would keep it the same but add a bunch of fucked up tech because i am mentally ill and play ultrakill in my spare time
Clashing skill was such a fun mechanic in wom I’ll never forget trying to fight magma mages as a water user it was awesome
Go out of your way to code clashing mechanic
Zero reason to actually use said mechanic
from the little bit of ao pvp i have done this is actually not entirely true although clashes do definitely play a much smaller hand nowadays than they used to
