tbh, I don’t think that spirit weapons will have a constant drawback
I think it’ll be more like the sailor style resource bar, where you can sacrifice health to empower your attacks, but you also have the option to use weaker attacks without sacrificing health
also the vitality items mention storing spirit energy to empower your spirit weapons, so I don’t think this idea is too unlikely
Now that I think about it, remember how I said Vitality build will be the energy counterpart to Weapons like how Magic is to Strength? It got me thinking…
Magic and Strength also mirror each other with their elements. Like Sailor mirroring Water Magic, and that they inflict Soak.
Weapons will ALWAYS inflict Bleed. If Spirit Weapons are a mirror to normal Weapons…
Will Spirit Weapons also constantly a certain status effect, like how Weapons always inflict Bleed? Maybe related to the soul damage your taking from them?
tbh, it’d be quite interesting if the whole idea for spirit energy is to keep up a damage over time effect which deals a percentage of the opponent’s health
but it’d think that that might be a bit op, considering things like surge exist
vetex did mention a while ago that spirit weapons will be more similar to a combination of magic and weapons
Youre misinterpreting how the change works. Theyre no longer upgradeable, but their damage no longer scales with the level that you found them as, and will deal damage as if you max upgraded them REGARDLESS of their mentioned level.
Devastate is just slam smash
Piercing shot is just a 20% size beam
Most of the grabs are like rushdown
Piercing Gale is just blast
Tempest is just a slow self explosion
Raging impact is literally just a self explosion
Wrath of the sea is just a pulsar
Sparrow thrust is just shockwave smash
