I think you misunderstood the image here, what was being pointed out was that the bracelet was the spirit weapon, not the gem.
I believe you have jumped in a to conversation without knowledge what it is about,

Now, that can not be a spirit weapon, as I stated earlier. This is the whole reason I went to write this thing. Those blue crystals are made to store spiritual energy, and call upon it. Not to control it.

The glowing gem on her sash is likely an Oracle item imbued with Spirit Energy. Thats why its glowing.

absolutely weapon slots, armour slots would be horrible and probably not make sense for some spirit weapons

if it’s in the weapons slot then vitality weapon hybrids are gonna suffer
the most likely option will probably be a new slot
if it’s armour / accessories slot, then they’ll lose out on a lot of potential stats
weapon slots would be bad for hybrid classes
just an inventory thing would be somewhat strange since you’ll probably get more than just 3 in the entirety of the game
