Explosion + Metal = Gunpowder Magic. It would be a gas magic that if interacted with heat creates an explosion absurd proportions which can speed up other magics

No the explosion when he died was caused from whatever the number 1/3 of all curses releasing from him and shooting out, and yes I confirmed that with Tech (that durza has 1/3 of all curses part)
