i think they genuinely become curses because you can no longer die since magic energy isn’t a thing in the real world to do any damage to a curse user. Like thats the whole reason they die upon contact with the sea or take damage from mages/warriors/zerkers right? I could be wrong.

Curse users have an allergic reaction towards magic (unless it’s the same as their curse for some reason) resulting in them temporarily being tangible
