It seems like I got the numbers a bit wrong too, but if we go back to ancient recorded times from basically around the world, humans actually had shockingly short lifespans.

This obviously was due to stressors such as famine and disease running rampant back in the day, but I digress, people definitely did not live beyond 100 years old.

From the very same source

its worth noting that you shouldnt think of these as concrete human lifespans throughout history but rather how common it was for people to die to other causes before they die naturally (it wasnt like you would just drop dead sometime in your 20s-30s like a very old person might seem to now)

if you managed to avoid all that you could live to be elderly it was just significantly more difficult

but besides that arpeeguy is either insane or hes baiting :dove: sooo

yea the oldest recorded human is like 116 years old there’s absolutely no way that someone in the past could live beyond that considering how rough it was

and I’m ngl saying indians meditated and lived for like 150 years feels almost mildly racist :sob:

what in the fuck :sleeper:

400 years old is like the shit that trees and giant turtles reach bro

also killing horses is wild

tl;dr the user proposes ancient indians weren’t using the same time system we use now, therefore the 150 life expectancy is incorrect. With the power of math, the opera user concluded that the real life expectancy of the time was around 40 instead.

at the very least it feels stereotypical which i why i think hes baiting because who would actually say that otherwise

that sounds more reasonable

Google people. It’s 122 (116 is the oldest living person)

No discussing moderation actions they are gonna smite you

I thought that through and thought it was okay but you never know with the m̶o̶d̶e̶r̶a̶t̶o̶r̶s̶ these days

Pro tip use <#s> without the # to do this
<#/s> to cancel it
