The Seville Royal Guard
While their numbers fluctuated throughout history, the final group of dedicated royal guards had only five members due to King Venegas’ unprecedented selectiveness at that point in time. Chosen from the best and most promising within Seville’s armed forces, all of them had were skilled combatants and wielded either magic or relics. Tasked with the safety of the king and whatever future descendants he would have had, each member of the guard performed their obligations without question. While not officially part of the military, their order were treated as ones from the king himself, and thus were rarely questioned.
It is assumed that all members of the royal guard perished in combat with Cazal before the death of the king, attempting to upholding their duty even in their final moments.
