A soup does not need to have seasonings or special ingredients to be a soup.
Cereal technically has special ingredients such as the type of cereal, chocolate? nutty? sugary?
Seasonings could be things such as strawberries, chocolate flakes, another kind of cereal.
Cereal is a breakfast soup.
People could put salt, onion or whatever in cereal but people dont because they arent starving vikings

this man is speaking truth. Usually the way you make simple soup that usually tastes okay is just throw some seasoned meat or vegetable into a pot and boil it.

Actually now that I think of it, pho and ramen are considered soup. I would have to ask my parents what they think about that, but if that’s true then milk/cereal could be a soup.
Eh well Pho and Ramen (same thing pretty much) are legit just noodles in soup so…

I just think of them as noodles, but the consistency of the broth, similar to milk, contradicts my first post with the definition of soup.

it’s put in a lot of dishes for the flavor and it usually makes them at least somewhat spicy depending on what food it is
