A soup does not need to have seasonings or special ingredients to be a soup.
Cereal technically has special ingredients such as the type of cereal, chocolate? nutty? sugary?
Seasonings could be things such as strawberries, chocolate flakes, another kind of cereal.
Cereal is a breakfast soup.
People could put salt, onion or whatever in cereal but people dont because they arent starving vikings
you can decide to eat soup without the broth
cereal is the special ingredient, ya know what?
let’s just say cereal is cereal
wait but cinnamon toast crunch has cinnamon which is a special ingrediant
this man is speaking truth. Usually the way you make simple soup that usually tastes okay is just throw some seasoned meat or vegetable into a pot and boil it.
oh and add oil i guess
BOOM fax extremely nostalgia cuz is listening to undertale concert again
Actually now that I think of it, pho and ramen are considered soup. I would have to ask my parents what they think about that, but if that’s true then milk/cereal could be a soup.
Eh well Pho and Ramen (same thing pretty much) are legit just noodles in soup so…
then again they’re pretty much noodle soup
I just think of them as noodles, but the consistency of the broth, similar to milk, contradicts my first post with the definition of soup.
more a broth than a soup
"the OED defines cereal as ‘pertaining to corn or edible grain.’ Any oats or wheat that humans consume are traditionally cereal. Soup, on the other hand, is defined as a, ‘liquid food prepared by boiling.’ Therefore, soup is anything that extracts flavor from a product by letting it soak in broth. The line is vague when we think about the contemporary use of cereal with liquid. Is it not a ‘stew’ in its own right? The milk is infused with flavor and changes color depending on what cereal or oat you decide to put into it. Therefore, by definition, cereal is soup. "
Then it is no longer soup, it is simply a nice food platter
SO cereal is a soup when it has milk, if not? Then it’s just a corn-based platter
what if i put water instead of milk is it still cereal?
Its cereal, but a type of soup
screw it, gonna make soup out of cereal and milk using this definition of soup
You don’t season your cereal?
what to argue about …
casually sprinkles masala on my frosted flakes
im clueless but what is masala lol
blend of different seasonings
it’s put in a lot of dishes for the flavor and it usually makes them at least somewhat spicy depending on what food it is
makes sense that you’ve never heard of it cause it’s more of a southwestern thing lol
