Compared with other AO glitches, this is too weird to be one
I think it might just be the barrier between the Bronze and Nimbus seas loading oddly, which is what creates those weird colors
those might be DS tornados

now that I think about it, yes they do look startingly similar to gem icons

probably a skybox glitch, i’ve seen games use sprite sheets like that too.
interesting because I just found out that that other screen shot had a similar structure or picture there. I don’t know if people noticed it but it felt worth mentioning.
