Came back here and backread and remembered a point I was meant to make a month ago, but ‘if it can be explained it’s not magic’ is the funniest shit I’ve ever heard. You sayin’ people’s wounds glowing bright blue then they recover in subpar condition isn’t magic? The ability to obliterate literal countries instantly and leaving behind generations’ worth of environmental death air isn’t magic? Furthermore, by that logic literally any magic systems that can be explained with in-world logic isn’t magic at all.
Also insert something here about the difference between explained and harnessed, bc technically everything can be explained i.e haha supernatural influences but only when its proven can it considered a science methinks idk

I really don’t want this to clog up your thread too much, but I’m actually hard up for ideas on this.
This is a chart for Magic Fusions I have for a game I’ve been wanting to make (with some concepts shown on my own little blog thread). I’ve been trying to use concepts and stuff that are real things (hence why I’m fine with stuff like Superbolt and Megaflora), and I’ve been able to stretch things a little bit like with Coldstone (nighttime is generally colder than daytime, ergo Darkness + Earth = some really cold rock), but now I’m at a point in which I just don’t have any good ideas.
I know I want all of the Magics on the Top Row and Leftmost Column to be able to fuse with each other, since I’m planning for doing so to be a key point in the game, but all of the easy ideas are gone now. Do you have any ideas for remaining Fusions?
Also if you need me to explain any of the Fusions already here just let me know

I can’t think of any besides one for Darkness and Toxic - Fleshrot.
Think… think the boils from the plague, think Necrosis, rotting but alive. Just an idea.
Also, do you mind if I write some of these out, like an intro snippet on how they’d behave from how I think they would by the name alone? Just a fun writing practice thing
