It’s not like vetex is against making rare moves that are just x base move but with y buff

Cannon is Blast with:

  • Pierce
  • No amount or explosion slider
  • Higher size slider cap (150%)

They can be variations of a base spell, just tuned up in one way in exchange for other stats/options. It’s like how lost magics are apparently planned to be more gimmick focused rather than a raw power boost over base spells (they’ll probably still be stronger just not astronomically so). I also kinda misread what you typed, but I’m leaving this here for other people to read.

i’ve played berserker quite a bit actually, it does good damage, can deal absurd knockback sometimes, and also gives every fighting style access to bleed, which in most cases, is nothing but a positive.
when Warlock gets access to it, certain builds will have access to a projectile that does absurd damage and also slows you (ice sailor, explosion thermo as examples)

To be fair, strength has gotten two entire new fighting styles with entirely new gimmicks.

If I remember right, the original idea for barrage was essentially a large amount blast but with bigger AoE and random deviation so you bombarded an entire area rather than a precise spot.

That was years ago and I’m probably off on the original concept so its probably something different now lol.

counter point:
piercing gale hitbox, knockback is made inconsistent and heavily prone to just being nullified by desync and bleed is good
damage is decent not really good really no reason to use over shot except on thermo since its a garunteed hit

20 magics which are pretty similar, at most you can classify them into speed and size, and maybe some sub groups like dot focused or impact dmg focused
