It isn’t hard, it’s just heavily reliant on others’ actions (therefore involves RNG), and takes a lot of time to achieve.
The Candy req I will agree is ridiculous.

do different bosses give different amounts of candy?
200 hp points = +1 candy so calvus is the best because he drops 22 candy upon death

Absolutely amazing!!! That alone takes as long as like 85% of the rest of the event 
imagine having to kill calvus 61 times in each slot of yours
