🔧 NPC Crafting

Tbh chests aren’t that bad for me. While yes, they kinda get boring when you do it for two hours straight, at least they encourage exploration. They should get revamped though, I agree they should be more interesting.

Thanks, ill read it over

After reading: I cannot find the place where it implies there will be crafting. Plus a feature like that would prob be in the roadmap

Read the parts about the different planned items to come, like the arcanium

Witch section?

It’s pretty vague like you said but the description for the arcanium alloy part kinda hints that there might be some form of crafting

Hm. Well I disagree, If there was crafting it would be more explicit

Whatever you say, I’m just saying since the description kinda implied that it might be a thing

Now you listen here pal, you too @Morden. AA fishing was the jankiest shit on roblox. Half the time your clicks wouldn’t even register. WoM fishing is the better of the two by far. But the game isnt a fucking fishing simulator. The game wasn’t designed around it, so it isn’t as good as it is on those fishing simulators. Sunken armour is overrated, there, I said it. We were all thinking it. Halloween items are only vanity and while they might be good for trading later on, it isn’t worth getting mad at rng just because you dont get what you want.

those are a list of treasure items that are meant to be sold for lots of money

Just because it’s mediocre doesn’t mean it’s good, nor does it mean it’s fun.

Yeah, I was mainly pointing at the part where it said arcanium alloy but the description is vague so it’s a possibly but it isn’t at the same time

It. Is. FISHING. Fishing is supposed to be a relaxing break from adventuring every once in awhile. NOT something to be grinded for HOURS ON END. Put on some music and relax while you’re fishing, you might have a better experience.

If anything, the biggest clue to crafting being added is professions.

That’s a contradiction in of itself, because fishing in WoM is meant to be a grind. You can only get certain items by doing fishing a ton of times.

Sure, if fishing was relaxing I’d be fine with it, but it feels more like filler content.

Actually true :fr: . What there currently is to do, other than PvP? Chest farming and fishing. And these two things were main to get most items in AA. Now Dynamic NPCs are removed, there goes Merchantd and Smugglers so you have to fish or chest farm.
If it reaches a point where you can only progress items from these two. They might need a revamp.
Right now you dont see the issue due to Merchants and Smugglers giving out items, or due to you already having all endgame stuff. But when AO hits, it’ll be sad for new players.

hey bro i dont like crafting in games with levels or stats because it’s a big cycle of grind to get something so that you can grind even harder

but yes crafting kinda cool sometimes

Something isn’t contradictory because you disagree with it.

There is a major difference between fishing and crafting. Fishing requires you to stand in a place, clicking every once in a while, for hours on end. Crafting is a one time click once you get the items. The items will be obtained through other means already in the game. It will take away nothing from the game.

thank you

There are still going to be arms dealers. Yes, in order to get the better stuff youre gonna need to work for it by fishing and chest farming. CRAFTING CAN HELP WITH THIS. Maybe there could be items you use whilst crafting that can improve the base stats of your equipment. Maybe there could be unique items that can only be gained by crafting (using special materials of course), and before you say “well, won’t crafting materials just encourage chest/fishing grinding more?”: that is a valid point, but there could probably be certain quests that give rare materials as a reward, or pirate ships that drop loads of materials when sunk.
