And you can’t even do status affect stacking with savant because vetex nerfed it to the ground
basic does not equal bad.
savants have lots of skills and even though they are unlocked at lower levels for other builds, that does not mean they suck.
blasts are singlehandedly the most versatile magic spell in the game and it’s unlocked at the start of the game for free.
mirrored river has an incredible horizontal range.
claws are claws.
crash is a good mobility tool
and slam has all sorts of usages
even though they aren’t as flashy as other builds at the moment, savants still are a dangerous foe in the right hands.
personally I still do think though that savants could do for a small AoE buff upon awakening but that’s just me

barrage attack and zone on my savant would wreck havoc with 80 blast (poison and acid magic) but i also want strong blast because passive damage

Savant has a lot of arbitrary synergies you can put into action, obviously bleed with weapons but more interesting ones like thermo’s burn or sailor’s soaked with explosion’s charred or Lightning’s paralysis.
Name any other class that can apply three status effects and use them all effectively.

my savant is a 110 90 50 (mag str wep) so i get beam first magic, rushdown, and explosion second magic so i can airstall as wll

Man I wanted to actually main wind-snow mage because now that it’s been nerfed it feels like my genuine fit

100 str gives me access to most fighting styles (if not all of them I forgor)
90 magic gives me beams
60 weapons keeps me from being a warlock and gives me all old weapon skills
How is that a pro when you’re giving up ultimate art explosions that do 500 damage
Synergies are actually garbage. The 10% more damage you deal for a couple seconds and the 0.1 second stun won’t save you from my 350 damage meaty blasts and my 500 damage explosion
see now the neat thing is, we’re not, we’re just going to unlock them later.
also we get other skills that mages can’t use.
everytime the level cap gets raised, savants get much stronger, sure other builds do too, but savants benefit the most.
