You know, for the amount of rain the world gets, I’m surprised it hasn’t flooded yet
We have (probably) two huge storms made with the storm curse and another two random ones, not to mention the randomly spawning ones and snowfall from the ton of snowy islands we have
This either means that, when it isn’t raining, the heat in AOverse is probably enough to kill anything in a couple of minutes
Or that one of the sea clusters is just a relatively shallow sea near the equator where the sun beats down with enough heat to kill anything that comes under it for even a second, evaporating enough water to supply the worldwide storm, which also means the place is filled with infernally hot steam
This is felt like some kind of weird hate boning thing Vetex do… like what benefit does this do to the narrative to all of a sudden ruins what could’ve been a interesting character potentially.
that reminds me, why are islands like, so temperature sensitive?? like i get maybe magic but you got literal ice islands, whitesummit, and then the “tropical” islands are either melting your skin off or mildly tolerable

honestly, the dark sea should also have the same weather events from the war seas
while icebergs might be annoying, but i ain’t gonna need to deal with the poison rain till i either pass through the weather event area or the weather event ends.
The dude is literally Vetex’s creation, he was made with this in mind. Him making fun of his own creation that he made to be stupid and die is not being mad or hateful towards it.
Couple things
He’s a nobody just as he says. The idea that he could have been an interesting character applies to literally any character ever made. Some characters aren’t important, he’s one of those characters. The narrative doesn’t lose anything by removing him and there was no need for him to be more. There will be interesting characters if there isn’t already, and if not then he wouldn’t have been either. Focusing time and effort trying force a character who wasn’t meant to be much to be more than he was if anything could just be less beneficial for the whole.
It helps build what kind of place the dark sea really is. Ambanes talked about how he was going to be on a spiritual journey there to study it as if to achieve some sort of enlightenment, like this journey through the dark sea was going to be some great quest for knowledge. In reality the Dark Sea is hell on earth and it will swallow the weak and foolish whole. Granted this requires that it be acknowledged what happened to him ingame, but if it is eventually he could serve as a good way to communicate to the player exactly what the Dark Sea will do to those who aren’t ready for it before the player even enters.
It’s just funny. Dude talks big game about how he’s gonna journey to the center of the dark sea and how he’s gonna study it, only to mess it up before he even starts and die immediately.
Points 1 and 2 kinda conflicting with each other, but it’s written with the assumption that by interesting character you mean more than what I said in point 2. If you didn’t then ignore point 1 sorry this is written in such a weird way that’s my bad.
I mean just kind of weird for him to just out nowhere act like that. Not that it’s a bad thing since it is his creation and he can do whatever he wants. But It just come off as weird for me.
This is just me, it’s not that I criticize Vetex for this, but I kind of find it off puttingly cynical just for the sake of being cynical.
While these points are good the only issue I have (as of this time). This isn’t portrayed in game. He just disappears and we only find his fate from the discord. Though that could change later but as of right now he just showed up and is gone
Im cool with this. I make character that give the MC some kind of “Yeah lets meet again” vibe before main villain came across, sever his arm and leg one by one, also his head. then place it in pentagon shape with the abdomen as the center.
But beside that, he is extra character with pretty much zero significant to the story. He’s interesting so I hope we got his journal but we not being center of universe kinda make the story alive.
Yeah I know I said that. But yes if it’s not acknowledged in game anywhere that would suck, hopefully it eventually will in a future update. It might just be that where it’ll be acknowledged hasn’t been added yet, or we haven’t gotten to the part of the story where whatever will tell us what happened to him will show up since the world and time progress as we progress in the story.
I was thinking maybe his body washes up on the shore of some island with a note he wrote freaking out about the dark sea and realizing the weapon he bought was a fake.
hear me out theres an oracle boss that went mad from transmuting their body to further their physical aspects, their entire gimmick would basically just be libra/midra
I think it would be cool too if we could fight a boss that mutates its body to be unrecognizable and maybe it could be a curse user who went insane after being trapped in a mountain or something
