Petition to dedicate a whole update to fixing jank

Now you’ve got me thinking about the Mail Whale from UTY

Not intentional jank, but I’m really hoping that the wind that pushes players off of sailing ships has its hitbox lowered; I’ve gotten blown away from shopkeepers and bankers from folks just trying to dock their ships one too many times.

not to mention that some crew commands (specifically all the cargo commands except “unload the ship”, as well as “bring the ship”) just don’t work at all
and also sometimes a crewmate tries to gather supplies and forgets how to climb while their other cocrewmate scales a wall 3x higher

I’ve just completed the Nimbus Story so far.

Therefore Spoiler.

Allanon was a pain in the ass I only beat him by a bug due to his height in the air and how fast he was moving.
Then, at the Fenrir, I beat the Jarl in a completely fair fight, well fair as in the area was INCREDIBLY small and he spammed attacks that shattered the floor, I needed to use my ghost to defeat him, and even then my ghost died before I could kill the Jarl.

It’s really.. weird game design, his visual design looks really cool, with the giant metal form… but his metal VFX just covers too much of the small area.

Everytime I play, I have to be worried about all the bugs ruining my experience. I dont wanna live like this anymore fr
WHY do I have to care for glitches and bugs? I have been too familiar with that feeling. It almost feels like sure thing.
But it should not.

At this point I think we need the GREAT QOL UPDATE or something like that. Honestly would love that kind of update more than dragons. For real.

when a pirate ship i’ve been sailing toward for 2 minutes despawns when it’s 140 studs away from me

speaking of qol would be nice for magic shapes to be updated to be less weird and old looking
magic birds look like they were modeled by an 8 year old

don’t forget when they teleport like 100-300 away after you already rammed/hit the ship and you also gotta do a 180 cause the ship is now sailing in the direction you came from! :sob:

Most of this sea monster and animal AI are with other other animals and other issues, is it so difficult to either remove whales, hell, make their AI work as sharks, or just restrict or set a barrier which at a certain meter they cannot pass???

so they use roblox physics to operate which is kind of notoriously buggy in ways that are incredibly hard to patch. someone should really redo that.

Whales are sea monsters and do use shark AIs, and this issue does happen with all sea monsters

Obviously the “just set a height limit!” idea doesn’t work at all because the issue is desync, not “they forgot to teleport whales back into the ocean”

Lowkey was having these thoughts. The sheer amount of jank in this game is tolerable if the amount of punishment it can dish also stays tolerable. The dogtag cap being raised this far up will make the bronze sea tax even more jarring.

You forgot the flinging across the sea bug, the bronze sea tax, the bosses that double their attack speed bug, the unable to climb out of water bug, the invisible pothole bug, the invisible/uncollidable object falling damage bug, the assassination bug, the unloading a ship with cargo from the same port bug, the deckhands not jumping to harvestables bug, the deckhands not talking bug, the mortars not hitting half the time bug, the npcs birds and other air anchored objects catching the ship and doing crash damage bug, the sense not turning off properly bug, the sealed chests not surfacing properly bug, the gear sets not saving/loading properly bug, the m1 button staying pressed bug, the ships that teleport bug, the ships that give no loot bug, the bosses that walks off to the side and then regens full health bug, the broken avatar during interrupted animations bug, the casting/skills/abilities/actions not registering in a reasonable amount of time bug-

I was fully prepared to just say gang, because I have no other words for that amount of genuinely game-breaking bugs.

I’m afraid to say this, but as more bugs I see the closer it gets to day-one release of Cyberpunk; bad performance, game-breaking bugs… history repeats itself.

This can also be fixed by just turning shift lock on and off (still annoying, but its a workaround)

I would like this.

I reached my breaking point when I softlocked in a cutscene for the 7th time and decided I was just done. Haven’t played the game in a week and a half and not gonna play it until significant gameplay affecting issues are properly addressed (and not left to sour in the game for a month+, we should be past that cycle).

Hopefully the absolute game-breaking softlocks in cutscenes are over as per a few patches ago, but everything else is still incredibly awful… I understand not wanting to play a game when it can barely function at its baseline.
