the savory rush of flavor from each and every bite achieved so uniquely by the ground chicken enwrapped with tomato sauce. the stacked thin sheets of pasta holding it all together, layered with creamy, thick white sauce and topped off with mozzarella cheese. the mouthwatering combination is truly a masterpiece.
the effort it takes behind each and every component in the lasagna reflects the unfathomable taste it holds. frying the ground chicken then adding vegetables of your choosing and seasoning it just right. preparing your own unique tomato sauce to boil the ground chicken in for a few hours on low. preparing the white sauce from scratch using nothing but milk, butter, flour, and seasonings. boiling several strips of thin pasta till they’re perfectly soft. and of course, grating the crown jewel of the dish; the cheese.
each and every bite gets your mouth aching for more. your mind is overcome with sheer gluttony and you can’t help but succumb to being hooked. struggling to maintain your table manners, you keep eating and eating until the sadness of a full stomach overcomes you. and even then, you push your it to your limit.
This would be a great opportunity to advertise a real restaurant my family owns with food I find genuinely great and eat all the time even years later, but it would also reveal where I live. Also I don’t have any images saved that couldn’t be reverse image searched so just imagine some flautas and take my word that its good.
Oh yeah heres the closest image I could find off the web. Edit: Found a better image.
The ones I usually get are with potato on the inside (kind of like a mashed potato filling) with sour cream, salsa verde, and some lettuce on top. I can only pray that there is a Mexican restaurant near you with some good flautas.
