ye this is prolly the main reason why people dont want anything to change about fishing
but honestly the only change i want is to have sunkens and future rare fishing items to not be exclusively obtainable from fishing. Instead having them be a nice suprise when fishing but not the main goal

They weren’t meant to be the main goal anyway, but because vetex released it early it became a super rare and valued item which either way outclassed other items by rarity.
It sucks.
It’s not enjoyable.
Not entertaining.
Doesn’t even feel normal. And I mean that in bad nature.
I hate the features mechanics.
The fact that a decent weapon has to be fished up
The fact it’s a 1/3000 to even get one out of the 5 pieces.
The pity system doesn’t help.
Just a garbage feature all around.

It helps but it only helps the people who fish hours on end with bad luck.
Well obviously they are something you want to get out of fishing. But later on he was gonna add it so that you can get scrolls and stuff from fishing (I think). I am also gonna bet there were other things he would have added given the chance.

luckily lost spell scrolls will be obtainable from sealed chests and other means than fishing

alright so, looking back at the results so far I can conlude that:
- it seems like there’s about an equal amount of people who like or don’t like fishing.
- The majority of people either don’t care or would like fishing to be changed in some way or another which probably relates back to sunkens being exclusively obtainable through fishing.
- There’s only a decently small minority who doesn’t want anything to change
Seeing these results I really do hope vetex doesn’t add any other really rare items which are only obtainable from fishing
and yes I did bump my own topic, deal with it 
I hope he does, but I want most items to be found through sealed chests.

diving spots and dark sea boss drops could be another good source of for example sunkens

Plus ghost ships(maybe) treasure charts , randomly spawning structures and also other sea monsters are possibilities

I don’t think it should only be limited to sunkens, would be better imo if there was a set chance to get any rare or higher tier of gear so long as it’s not a boss exclusive
